About
Public Sketch is a small-scale real estate development company based in Central Texas. We pursue projects that promote community engagement with positive social impact.
Our mission is to improve the spaces and places where we – the public – live, play, and work through smart, sustainable and sophisticated architecture and design. We strive to strengthen the downtown core of cities by creating unique, inviting and engaging environments that encourage walking, biking, and activities in the heart of cities.
Public Sketch was founded in 2018 by Douglas Moss, a native of Taylor, Texas, after he purchased two historic buildings in downtown Taylor. He is motivated by the desire to contribute to the growth of his hometown by renovating and transforming the city’s historic buildings.
The name Public Sketch is intended to reflect public discourse on high-quality designs and environments that would positively impact the City of Taylor and its residents.
